Detailed description of the couple (likely to contain spoilers)Kat Edison and Adena El-Amin start out as friends and colleagues but eventually acknowledge their feelings for each other. However, Adena is in a 3 year relationship and I'm Kat has never had sexual or romantic feelings for a woman. Eventually they act in their feelings and kiss. This ultimately leaves Adena no choice but to end her relationship. Afterward Adena chooses her, Kat realizes that she has an issue with commitment. This ultimately forces Adena to fly back to France and back to her ex. Kadena continues to have an up and down relationship throughout the entire series as they struggle to remain friends and continue to find hurdles with being together. They are, however, endgame as they realize in the final season that rather than trying to tailor their relationship to a norm, they can just make their own rules as they go.
